I love every song on this whole entire soundtrack. It is an amazing movie for all ages. It is FABULOUS! Great for the whole family. My favorite part is the question that keep burning and turning and churning! Whoo hoo! It is all so romantic and nice! But innocent and sweet! It is the best of both worlds! Great for everyone!

What Parents Need to Know
About Barbie as the Island Princess
Parents need to know that this soundtrack of the movie of the same name is typical fairy-tale fare that includes an innocent battle of good versus evil in its musical storytelling. Queen Ariana sings a song about love being inconvenient, tells her daughter to "do something to make herself prettier," and demands revenge on the king for ruining her family's life. But, the songs are fluffy and very age-appropriate.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about Ro's (played by Barbie) desire to learn where she comes from. What is your heritage? Perhaps you (or someone you know) are adopted, and are aching to learn about your birth family, much as Ro is in "I Need to Know." And what about falling in love, as Prince Antonio and Ro do? What does it actually mean to love someone?
