The much anticipated debut single by American Idol's Season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta has been released to much fanfare. "CRUSH" mixes R&B beats with bubblegum pop lyrics as Archuleta croons about his crush and his mixed emotions about this relationship.

David Archuleta was the sweet kid on American Idol that everyone was rooting for, and his innocent appeal has been very wisely captured on this debut single. Rather than take on the role of the heartbreaker or ladies man, Archuleta stays with his down-to-earth roots to create a sweet and easy-to-listen-to single. It's hard not to feel for Archuleta as he cries, "I know this crush ain't goin' away." From the sound of the first single, it looks like there will be plenty of crushes to come once the full album debuts this fall.
