What Parents Need to Know
About OMG! Jams
Parents need to know that Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay from High School Musical) is the new spokesperson for Degree deodorant, and has released this album of cover songs as part of a promotional campaign. The songs, which can be downloaded from Degree's site, are covers of popular '80s songs, like Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth," and the content and lyrics are fine for all ages.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the common use of celebrities as spokespersons for a particular product, especially young celebrities. Does this make you want to buy a product more if a celebrity endorses it? Do you feel like some celebrities are more trustworthy than others? Do you think that celebrities promoting commercial products could have a negative effect on a younger audience? Why or why not?
