Parents need to know
Families can talk about hip-hop artists putting out a clean album. Snoop talks about always having the gangsta life in him. Do you think he's able to produce an entire album of inoffensive music? Would it be as successful?
Message
Social Behavior:
All over the place, from making a better life for yourself to degrading women. He's very proud of what he's accomplished and boasts about it a lot (hence the title of the CD).
Consumerism:
A few mentions of soda, alcohol, and car brands.
Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco:
Snoop doesn't hide the fact that he likes to smoke pot…a lot. He brings up cocaine, but dismisses it. He also mentions drinking socially. ("Drank all my liquor, know it's all good" and "Roll up and lick the paper if they're able.")
Violence
Considering Snoop declares himself a "gangsta" there's not much violence on the CD. He does talk about growing up in the "hood," going to jail, other people in jail.
Sex
Sexual comments -- some of which are graphic and raw -- are all over the album. A few examples: "I love it when you dance so sexy," "I have two friends/we can have group sex," "See my game is outrageous I got her to the crib/And exchanged some f--k faces," "I used to put it in yo ass/you ain't had it in a while," "When you need that good sex I'm your guy."
Language
"Bitch" and the "N" word are repeated over and over again. Snoop likes to say other words such as "motherf--ker," "s--t," "ass," and "f--k."
