Why We Rated This iffy for Ages 14–15

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

Puts a lot of emphasis on a woman's looks and enhanced body parts.
  • Violence:

"Hold your guns, if they is hella hating."
  • Sex:

Sexual content is strong and there is some reference to sex -- direct or not -- in almost every song.
  • Language:

    Not an issue.
  • Consumerism:

A bunch of brands are mentioned: Jordans, Ray-Ban, Dickie, Gucci, Tivo, Nike, Nikon, Lamborghini, McDonald's.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

"Hold your drinks up, like you was celebrating."

What Parents Need to Know

About Exclusive

Parents need to know that although this CD has mostly innocent overtones about love, there's also a bit of more explicit sexual content such as talking about women's body types and parts ("I'm in love with double D cups") and getting with someone.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about how teen artists mature. Has Chris Brown's music changed much from when he was 16 and released his first album? Does age come into play when writing and singing songs? Should an 18-year-old be singing about different things than a 30-year-old?

    I LOVE This Boy!!

This boy is very talented. Not like some of these other celebrities that get famous because of a family member. He is a great song writer, great singer, a great dancer, and he is extremely good looking. Great combination in my opinion!
