Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that although this CD has mostly innocent overtones about love, there's also a bit of more explicit sexual content such as talking about women's body types and parts ("I'm in love with double D cups") and getting with someone.
Families can talk about how teen artists mature. Has Chris Brown's music changed much from when he was 16 and released his first album? Does age come into play when writing and singing songs? Should an 18 year old be singing about different things than a 30 year old?
Common Sense Review

Chris Brown, all of 18 years old, has matured since his last album -- and he shows that by singing mostly about his fondness and appreciation for the ladies. His sophomore effort lives up to the hype he's generated since the release of his first CD more than two years ago. But it's more than just hype -- it's a collection of 16 solid R&B songs and rhythmic dance tracks that just might melt the hearts of teenage girls everywhere. Romance abounds on the love-infused "With You" ("With every kiss and every hug/You make me fall in love/And now I know I can't be the only one") and on the tender ballad "I Wanna Be" ("Anytime you need a shoulder/It shows not a day/but what I'm/tryna' say is, I wanna be"). He also gets the who's who in the music world (Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, OutKast's Big Boi, and T-Pain) to help him out.
Fans of Chris Brown may want to give albums by Usher or Justin Timberlake a listen.
