    Since the song is all about rekindling a romance, some of the lyrics discuss kissing and desire in a very general way. "Oh, kiss me like you mean it/like you miss me/'cause I know that you do," "Every time I see you it gets more and more intense," and "You were the only one I wanted/and you were the first one I fell for."

  • Language:

    Not an issue.

  • Consumerism:

    Demi Lovato is a part of the newest wave of Disney teen pop stars. She co-starred with them in the Disney TV movie Camp Rock.

About "Get Back" (CD single)

Parents need to know that this song from Lovato's upcoming album is about a girl trying to convince a former boyfriend to "get back" together with her. The lyrics are simple and not overtly sexual, but Lovato does make her vocals seductive at times as she tries to lure this former beau back. Kissing and "wanting" someone are repeated topics in the song.

    Older kids will understand the lyrics

    The song is fine for those under 10, but they probably wouldn't understand it. So the ideal age is 10/11+ though there's nothing wrong with it.
