High School Musical Soundtrack

This movie sucks. This music sucks.
I didn't want to have to cuss out "High School Musical", but...I sort of feel obliged to. Um...I don't like musicals. The only one I care for is "Evita". "The Sound of Music" is good. ...Okay, let me just get to the point! "High School Music" has horrible acting...horrible...and the musical numbers from the film are very dimwitted, very lame, very corny. I am a 13 year old guy, and when I saw the movie, I had to leave the room, it was so bad. Kids are probably into the stuff but...please don't torture your kids with this! Don't torture your teenagers! Please! Cause honestly, no one wants to listen to this ----. Please!!! Please!!! And Lucas Grabel is scary. Too much Pink...(not the singer...) The only exceptional song is "We're All in This Together". The chorus sucks...Big time...Super big time..but I didn't recognize the verses as being the same song...they were acutally bareable!! (a first!!) Yah...I'm done!

Good movie
I know that many people,kids and adults alike, have bashed HSM calling it corny and cheesy. I have to say that although some of this is true you just can't deny that the tunes are catchy and it's squeaky- clean Disney entertainment for kids. There are so many things out there that you don't want kids to see from TV to the internet that this is a refreshing change. I like the positive messages that it conveys,especially for the middle school crowd.

Troy And Gabriella rock!
This soundtrack was good! Except Ashley Tinsdale! I think Troy and Gabriella did a better job; than Ashley!

Very cool music. It'll make you wanna get up and dance!
The songs are catchy. My middle and high school kids are dying to perform it as their own school play. They love it. It's squeaky clean and has positive messages throughout.

Total Crap.
Don't watch the movie, or read the novel. The characeters are unrealistic. I especially hated Gabriella, a stupid, shallow, sucker. If you watch the movie you'll probly regret it. The music is fun, if not a bit cheesy. The whole thing sends bad messages and deals with romance, high school snots and cliques and is defanatly a NO for under 13's.

TERRIBLE MOVIE, SOUNDTRACK, EVERYTHING..........
High School Musical is the WORST movie ever made. The music from it is the WORST ever made. Everybody want's to be in it because they THINK that it is a musical BUT IT'S NOT!!!!! It is a waste of time to listen/watch/do anything related to this movie/CD. And seeing what the stars of this movie are doing now (such as, oh I don't know, how about SENDING A PHOTOGRAPH OF HERSSELF NUDE TO A GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!) I would never let ANYBODY have ANYTHING to do with it. In order to listen to the music, watch the movie, or do anything related to High School Musical, I believe that you would have to be dead, and even then, you would probably jump out of your grave and start shouting at people to turn it off!

Very mature movie and i cant stop singing!
I watched this and my heart rose to the heavens.I used to be a bit of a fighter but because of this film i am now a big hearted singer.I loved the movie.The whole thing is great!

I think the High School musical soundtrack was very good , I loved all the songs and I think the age group is very appropriate. It is almost every kids dream this age to find something like this and I think the songs were absoloutly wonderful. I wish I could me Vanessa Anne Hudgens singing those songs because I adore her , and Zac Efron!!!

fluffy stuff
the movie and songs are okay, but very fluffy and get old after awhile. Hopefully the second movie and soundtrack are better. The songs aren't necessarily ABOUT anything, just a bunch of fluffy stuff about happy, overly-optimistic high schoolers. The only good song is "breaking free". Its the only one that has any meaning behind it at all.

I hated the movie and the music...I mean, what gives?? They call this a musical? Lots of kids love this crap! I think younger kids would love this soundtrack, but I know at age 12, this sucks!! My BFF likes this movie but she's younger than me....by a few months....same grade....but back 2 more important stuff...the bottom line is, this sucks!!!!!!!

Cool!
This is a great soundtrack! Unlike other kid's music out today, it has a positive message about respectingeach other's differences. In the beginning of the movie, Troy and Gabriella are afraid to be seen together, just because they are from different social groups. But in the end, everyone learns to respect that we are all different. Some of the best songs on the album are "Start of Something New" (a nice song which opens up the film into the world of Gabriella and Troy) "Breaking Free" (the best song on the album which is about 'breaking free' of how people see you, and getting them to see you how you want them to see you) and "We're All In This Together" (in which the whole school gathers in the gym before the credits start to roll. this song is really when the whole school sees that Gabriella and Troy are right-differences are important, and they should respect that)

The perfect suondtrack for all ages!!!
At first, when my freinds started talking about it, i Thought,"its probably one of those spur-of-the-moment things. I'm just going to ignore it." But then a few weeks later, the two A track teachers at my school (one of them being mine) and some kids from their classes stayed in my classroom. I stayed too, and it turned out they had decided on the song that we were going to dance and sing to in our yearly local program. It was "we're all In this together" from HSM. As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with HSM. The actors and actresses voices are wonderful, the songs are about great stuff, and overall, it was jsut amazing. As soon as I got home I was asking my dad to drive me to the nearest Target to get me the CD. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

OMG THIS IS THE BEST CD EVER!!!
This is my ALL TIME favorite cd. Not only because when I sing I sound just like Gabriella, and my best friend sounds just like Sharpay, because I listen to the cd OVER AND OVER and you just dont get tired of it like all my other cds!!! And also I know all the dance moves to the songs!! Im listening to it now. "Were all in this together. once we know, that we are, were all stars, and we see that." I LUV YOU HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CAST!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! -Jamie
