Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that this song from The Hills star is fine lyric-wise, even though it's hard to make to it the entire way through without cringing. The music video shows Heidi frolicking on a beach in a tiny bikini.
Families can talk about why Heidi and the rest of the gang from The Hills are so popular. Does being on a reality TV show give you the green light to star in movies, to make music, to create your own fashion line?
Common Sense Review
Reviewed By: Heidi Kotansky
This song is about letting go and not looking back. The video (directed by her sweetie Spencer), is all about Heidi jumping, splashing, and posing on the beach -- with her large chest and her small bikini.
While the premise of the song is good, the singing is definitely not. Despite all the immature, catty behavior she displays on The Hills, Heidi actually is a grown up, but somehow her voice sounds like a tween girl practicing for her school talent show. Part squeaky, part off-key, and very repetitive, this single proves that once you're a reality TV star, you're able to get your music on iTunes -- even if you have absolutely no talent at all. Thanks, Heidi, for at least giving us all something to laugh about.
For fun pop from artists can actually sing, check out Natasha Bedingfield, Aly & AJ, or Bianca Ryan.
