Why We Rated This on for Ages 12 and Up

The good stuff

  • Messages:

Repeated themes of giving it up for love grow weary after a while

What to watch out for

  • Violence:

    No violence here.
  • Sex:

No explicit sex, lots of angst and teenage longing.
  • Language:

    No obscene words.
  • Consumerism:

Apparent tie-in with aol, as there are three sessions@aol live performances on the enhanced CD.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

Unless you count obsessive love, there are no drug (or alcohol) references.

    Great!

Michelle Branch is my favorite singer, however I do agree with Common Sense: Michelle could use some fun in her CD. My favorite tracks are "Are You Happy Now?" and "Find Your Way Back". I think her first CD, The Spirit Room, was a lot better-I liked almost every track on that one. There is no really offensive material.

Pretty good cd. Not outstanding but good. Clean.

I rate this title iffy for age 2 and give it 3.0

    Mediocre music

Michelle Branch's sophomore effort is a so so album. There are some excellent cuts, but there are a lot of skippable tracks as well. There is no offensive material.
