`I Don't Want to Go to School` (CD single)
What’s the Story?
Just as Alice Cooper's "School's Out" became an anthem for fun-searching kids everywhere back in the '70s, today's "I Don't' Want to go to School" speaks to kids who'd rather be hanging with friends than sitting at a desk at school. It's cute and catchy and fine for tweens.
Is It Any Good?
The Naked Brothers Band is comprised of a bunch of kids, but they display more talent -- both vocally and instrumentally -- than most tween rockers. With a twinge of old-school rock (think a more family-friendly ACDC) and an inviting and tween-appropriate approach, they combine youthful lyrics ("And I tell you teachers I've got a confession/All the kids want to do is have some fun/ but the work, the work, is never done") with a sound that's surprisingly mature beyond their young years. You and your kids will be singing along in no time.
