too depressing but brilliant composition
- I rate this title on for age 13 and give itMy concerns are:
- Inappropriate language
This album features a more mature, and somewhat softer sound for Linken Park. The quality of music is as always worth the time, and if you do find the language a bit strong it is always possible to buy the censored version. The messages; while not completely possitive all the time are relavent, and important to teens- and quite frankly much less of a concern than most of the other music being produced for the age-group presently.

Great Album, but very dark...
While Linkin Park is a band that is loved by the young and old. This album is one that may be better for the older listeners. The album is darker and more explcit than there previous ones. 3 of the songs use the F word and in anger which adds more effect. And most of the songs are dark and depressing. Its ok for older teens but if your a preteen try sticking with Hybrid Theory or Meteora

best ever
good no problems :)

Not their best work....
There are probably three songs on here that are very good, and the rest are just okay. There is a lot of F words for this band, who in their past albums have not cursed, but then again, it is nothing compared to what is said at a typical High School, so I do not think that this CD will have any affect on your teen's language. Some of the Song's lyrics are what would be classified as emo, such as Given Up. Overall, this is not an album to buy, it will be much cheaper and worthwhile to just download the few really good songs (No More Sorrow =)

Good for tweens who are more into alternative rock
Linkin Park is my favorite band, but this album falls short from their other stuff, musically. Parents, the lyrics aren't much worse, but there is a parental advisory label on the cover, and some songs have profanity (Given Up-"Tell me what the F--k is wrong with me!")

A More Grown Up Linkin Park
Linkin Park is my favorite band and I can say that although this was not one of its best work (or its worst), it certainly is a wonderful. It might have some tracks that have "the f word" in them but the messages of many songs are meaningful, such as "What I've Done", "Hands Held High" and "Leave Out All The Rest". Overall, this is a great album ( I recommend the censored version)

my all time favorite band... ill admit i dont like all the language and believe it's unneccesary. i just buy the edited version.

- Excessive violence
- Inappropriate language
Meteora is much more depressing; great album!
I love this album, though I can admit it is slightly violent. "What I've Done" is totally centered on taking back actions (which is good and bad). It uses some pretty heavy language for a young age: the "f" word is in "Given Up" 3 times, "Bleed It Out" 2 times, and "Hands Held High" 1 times. Not nearly as depressing as their previous album, "Meteora".

Pretty good
I was quite dissapointed by this album, and i thought metora was a lot better. I still bought it though and its still very good. Concerned about the launguage? the only really bad song is given up, with lyrics like "Im suffocating, tell me what the f--- is wrong with me." but theres a clean version.

Ejoyed the album, and there are 'clean' versions available. One song fetures heavy cussing (but like I said, you can get it clean). Some depressing songs ("I dreamed I was missing [...] no one else cared."), others aren't too bad. And the best thing about anything that plays music, you don't have to listen to the whole thing. P.S. 'What I've done isn't the only song thats cool on here.

Dark
I love all of the songs, and a big LP fan in general but may send some over the edge with "Given Up". But suitable for anyone basically.

Not as good as before.
Yes, this album is not as good as their previous ones. There were at least 2 very good songs. However, both of those two contain a bit of violent imagery as well as a few uses of obscene language used in anger.

a must have album
this album is a great album. sure they went from techno rap and rock to a more hard rock sound but they were younger when they made techno rap and rock so maybe now that they r older they wanted to do something different. when i was younger i hated rap and hip hop mixed but then i started listening to linkin park on their first album and it was awesome then they came out with more cd's then minutes to midnight came out with the more rap and hard rock sound and it was awesome i have the cd playing right now yea there maybe some words that r inappropriate like "F--k" in a couple song and word representing death such as "NOOSE,HAND GRENADE, HEARSE" and song sections "MOMMA HELP ME I'VE BEEN CURSED DEATH IS ROLLING IN EVERY VERSE, I BLEED IT OUT I'VE OPENED UP THESE SCARS I'LL MAKE U FACE US I PULL MY SELF APART. but it is a good album they also sell the amended version of minutes to midnight so if u r a linkin park fan or was go get the cd and u will become a fan of them again

OK
Not a big fan but the current rating is absolutly ridiculous. 15+ ? This stuff is apropriate for ten-year-olds!!! Its really not bad swearing. Put it in comparison to SURFACING by Slipknot. That may put everything in perspective for you.

Good Album
Linkin Park is an Amazing band. In this album there is some language and as far I listened there is no sex or drugs. Some brief quotes talking o f suicide like “put me out of my F#$@king misery” and when they perform it live Chester (lead singer) makes it clear what he is saying with two fingers to his temple. To be honest I think that Linkin Park lost a lot of fans with this album. They moved away from their tecno rap sound and moved mare toward an extremely harsh hard rock sound. All in all good album.

are you kidding me?
I can see how you get the "violence" in it, but seriously, a 12 or 13 year old like me isn't going to take it that seriously.

LInkin Park used to be rap metal band, but now they are trying a new aproach to there music. Most of the song are some what mellow and beutiful to the beat, and some are real cuss your mouth head bang. There are alone a couple of song with some ( bleed it out and hands held). This is a CD worth checking out for people who are not familier with linkin park, but for who are "im gonna let you decide.

Maybe not something to take in too much...
The angst to former self can be explicit but maybe it's something families would want to discuss. Three songs has at least one-two F*** in them and the imagery used is ridden and depressing. I love this band but i'm not too sure about this album. Songs like: Shadow of the Day and What i've done, can bring a thought over you about the meaning and what has come to this world to prevent us from doing certain matters -- which could also help to warn us of what is to come to this world. So i'm reccomending this album for children ages 13+. I'm younger than 13 but maybe I should've waited til' I was older to listen to this album.
