Having grown up listening to Andre 3000 in Outkast, it is cool to see him do something like this that I can share with my kids.

What Parents Need to Know
About Class of 3000: Music Volume One
Parents need to know that this CD, based on Andre Benjamin's ultra-cool Cartoon Network animated show, employs all the elements of appealing children's music without ever being condescending. As on most kids' records, there are gently positive messages (music being good for you is a major theme), clearly audible vocals, and a lot of repetition, but the instrumental tracks are sophisticated and the lyrics interesting enough to appeal to the whole family. The devilish voice on "We Want Your Soul" might be scary to very young children.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about "Life Without Music." The lyrics suggest that "life without music equals life without love," and that music can teach us and help us live more fully. Do you agree? How has music made a difference in your life?
