Not age appropriate for kids under 12, age appropriate for kids over 14; suggested age 13.
  • Is it any good?

    3.0
  • Common Sense says

    Lackluster compilation doesn't deliver much.

Why We Rated This iffy for Ages 13–14

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

There's Bow Wow's sexist posturing, of course. The "N" word is used once, but in the Black Eyed Peas' anthem to peace, love, and understanding.
  • Violence:

The only violence is decried on The Black Eyed Peas' "Where is the Love."
  • Sex:

There's just enough explicit sexuality for parents of sensitive kids (or sensitive parents) to take note.
  • Language:

There are offensive words in a couple of the songs.
  • Consumerism:

Nothing obvious, except for the entire project.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    None.

What Parents Need to Know

About Now That's What I Call Music! 14

Parents need to know that this is a compilation of recent hits targeted to tweens and young teens that contains no surprises. The fact that we've all heard these songs a million times may dilute the power of the innuendo in some of the lyrics.

    More Now Junk!?!

Now is an awful compilation. No good music on here to waste your money. I mean rap plus Simple Plan plus Good Charlotte plus Avril equals a horrible comp.
