Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that RADIO DISNEY: MOVE IT! is a pleasant, kid-safe compilation that appears to be an attempt to inspire family physical fitness.
Families listening together can turn off the TV and have a living-room dance party.
Common Sense Review

There's a physical-fitness crisis among American youth these days, and our friends at Disney are going to stop at nothing to do something about it, darn it! (Well, actually they still sell sugar and fat-laden snacks at their theme parks and advertise junk food on TV, but there is that bottom line to think of...) At least now there's also MOVE IT! -- a collection of fifteen perky tunes guaranteed to get you and your kids off the barca-lounger and into dancing-machine mode.
Queen starts us off with "We Will Rock You," followed by "Move it Like This" by the Baha Men, and "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory. Other predictable but irresistible dance-party hits include Bar-Mitzvah staples "The Macarena" by Los Del Rio, "Cha Cha Slide" by Mr. C the Slide Man, "Limbo Rock Remix (Miami Mix)" by Chubby Checker, and "Y.M.C.A." by the Village People. Disney gets points for attempting to appeal to a multi-generational audience, as highlights include "I Got You (I Feel Good)" by James Brown (point out the amazing horn parts and rhythm section to your music-student kids) and "Shout" by the Isley Brothers.
Over all, this delightful compilation delivers on its promise -- we dare you to listen and not feel like dancing. Just make sure you don't already have all these songs on other CDs before buying.
