Wallflowers, take heart! The New Kids on the Block, with a little help from Ne-Yo, are here to save the day. Their newest single, "SINGLE," proclaims the availability of the Kids to "be your boyfriend 'til the song goes off," so put on your dancing shoes and prepare to hit the floor.

Sweet, sappy, and just a teensy bit soulful, "Single" offers to take up the slack left by a deadbeat or nonexistent boyfriend by dancing with every single girl in the room -- no strings attached. "Pretty mama if you're single/you don't gotta be alone tonight/so while the DJ plays this single/just pretend that I'm your man tonight" is about as gracious as it gets at a teen party; dance lovers who happen to be flying solo could do a whole lot worse. And if this music thing doesn't work out, the Kids just might have a future hiring themselves out as extra men on cruise ships.
