What Parents Need to Know

About "So What" (CD single)

Parents need to know that this is the first single from Pink's new album scheduled for release later this year. The song is a "take that" slam to the singer's ex-husband Carey Hart. It's brazen and out there with a little anger and a lot of attitude. There's a dig at another celebrity, reference to drinking, the word "s--t" (although it's subtle, and could be missed), and the calling of an ex a "tool."

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about why Pink is making such a public statement about the ending of her relationship with her ex-husband. Does it seem as if she's trying too hard to prove something? Would you expect this kind of song from Pink more than you would from other artists?
