The only way the song is bad is if the kids actually comprehend what the lyrics are. However if your kids understand what they mean they should be mature in listening to the song. This means tell them or trust them not to listen to the commercialism, but to enjoy the song and the lyrics don't mean anything. If your kids are mature enough they can listen to it and not go out into the world and do the stuff the song says. If your kids aren't mature enough though tell them they can listen to what they want if they take the music in a mature matter and not juvenille. Im 14 and i have been listening to this type of music since i was about 5 years of age. My mother thought i was mature enough to listen to it and i was and still am. =)

What Parents Need to Know
This review of `Take You There` (CD single) was written by Maria Dinoia
Parents need to know that this dance/love song from the Making the Band finalist is about wanting to do everything for a girl to make her happy. There are a few suggestive lyrics, but overall, most of the lines are subtle enough to keep the song innocent.

What’s the Story?
Diddy's hit MTV show Making the Band has produced a bevy of talented beauties. Perhaps none more so than Donnie J. with his beautiful blue eyes and breathy voice. That breathiness is very Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake-like, as is the beat to "TAKE YOU THERE" which sounds similar to Spears' "Give Me More."
Is It Any Good?
Nonetheless, "Take You There" is a likable song that definitely gets the nod for being a great dance track -- even if it's a bit generic. Diddy's contribution adds some credibility, but also brings in the no-so-subtle sexual lyrics. This is a solid enough first single that will keep you interested enough to wait for the entire new album coming out in late spring.
