One of the greatest albums ever made...

This is a really classic album that was made before the final Beatles album (Let it Be). Content isn't really anything to worry about, although the song Maxwell's Silver Hammer has some violence and John Lennon is smoking on the cover.

The Best Album Ever, but Some Minor Worries

The songs are purely awesome, each with its own taste. The reason I give it an Iffy rating is because of two songs: "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Polythene Pam". "Maxwell's Silver Hammer's" chorus contains (a variation of): Bang! Bang! Maxwell's silver hammer came down upon her head. Bang! Bang! Maxwell's silver hammer made sure that she was dead," but it's all tongue in cheek, sung in a childish manner. "Polythene Pam" sings about a girl described as follows: "Well, you should see Polythene Pam; She's so good looking, but she looks like a man! Well, you should see her in drag, dressed in her polythene bag, yes you should see Polythene Pam!" Nothing else is offensive.

    The Beatles are the best!

There are two main reasons to back up the fact that The Beatles is the greatest band ever: 1: they, Elvis Presley, and The Rolling Stones created rock music. 2: they are both wholesome and they have positive role-models/messages. Definitely for all ages!

My Dad was a big Beatles fan, I am a Beatles fan, and this summer my two boys, 7 and 10, fell in love with them as well. They tend to prefer the pre-Revolver music, but Octopus's Garden and Here Comes the Sun from Abbey Road are favorites. Cautions: Maxwell's Silver Hammer is about a guy who kills people, and the cover art depicts Paul McCartney smoking.

    Fantastic

From the funk of "Come Together" to the gorgeous harmonies of "Because" this album is a must-have.
