The Beatles are a good band but parents should know that the songs were made in the drug era and some stuff kids should not know. all in all good songs for kids but SOME ARE NOT...I like the beatles.
Obviously, this album consists of #1 hits. All the songs are catchy and appealing, and could be enjoyed by even small children. Hopefully this will expand kids' viewpoints, opening them up to an earlier generation; not only the large discography of The Beatles (all of which should appeal to children, save for perhaps 'Helter Skelter' and 'Revolution 9'), but others of that generation, such as The Who. Of course there will always be suggestive themes and controversy in music (such as John's 'bigger than Jesus' fiasco), but I'm sure parents will make sure the kids don't get in too deep too soon. For now, enjoy.
The Beatles are amazing, and I'd basically reiterate what everyone else has said.
But parents, raise your kids around this type of music. uplifting yet deep music. It will help your child's music taste in later years.
the beatles are one of the best bands in the world!!!
well i was hearing it ever since i was like 6, so i never thought anything bad was in there till this past year or 2 i love all of it sept for "the ballad of john and yoko" i don't love it but i don't hate it. a quick little somthin for haters of anything don't hate, next year you might love it, trust me i know.
I LOVE the beatles! my icon is Paul McCartney even though it was wrong for them to smoke it was the 60's! it wasnt tht safe back them! and its kinda bob dylans fault... no offence but i LOVE the beatles!
This is a great album for people who want some of the beatles greatest hits, but it lacks the album feel of Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper's, and Revolver. Seems to miss out on many of the Beatles greatest hits, including Here Comes the Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, and Drive My Car. Still, it includes a few songs that are not on other albums (Hey Jude, Day Tripper, I Want to Hold Your Hand) and is fun to have.
Long Live The Beatles!
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH best music ever my dad is a big beatles fan so i grew up listening to them they all have secret messages hidden in the songs i love them
Their Collection Of Their #1 Singles Has Some Iffy Content, But Is Still Overall Clean!
The album has themes of love--and heartbreak--in it, plus a "religious swear" is used three times in one song, with a single mild drug reference in one song, on the bad side. On the good side, though, The Beatles are undeniably the greatest band in history--having revolutionized/created rock music--, and the music is overall pretty wholesome. It still drives me crazy when someone tells me they don't like The Beatles. I just don't get it. Regardless, this album is truly amazing (but so are The Beatles and all of their music). Sure, there are references, but they are so vague that it shouldn't be worried about. If there's one more really great thing you can do for your kid, introduce them to The Beatles. The Beatles should never be "old stuff" or "old news" or "old music." Their records/tapes/cd's are definitely worth buying. I love to share my love for them and I hope you can enjoy and love them too. Just buy the cd. It's definitely worth it.
My friend intrduced me to the beatles last year though i vaguley knew who they were ever since that i have loved them and next saturday i will be singing beatles songs to people in a nursing home some songs are not apprpiate for kids but that is disquised so kids willl not get that the beatles are awesome and rock the world
Me, my sister, and my brother LOVE The Beatles!!!! We always sing to Hey Jude. And we're 12, 3, and 2 years old! Music is classic and good for all ages. THE BEATLES 4 LIFE!!!!!!
