What to talk about

Talk to your kids
Families can talk about the rhythm of the songs and how it lends itself to clapping along (for younger children) or creating counter-rhythms (for older children); "We're Gonna Move" and "Baby, Let's Play House" provide complex patterns to improvise from or emulate.

What's the story?

What's the story?
BLUE SUEDE SHOES: ELVIS SONGS FOR KIDS brings Elvis Presley's music to new generations of young listeners -- presented to them by an ensemble of their peers. The lead singers and ensemble are mostly kids, with a few exceptions (most notably, the humorous apparition of Elvis at the end of "We're Gonna Move"). Elvis purists may not appreciate having their favorites reinterpreted and rearranged, but some kids are bound to prefer the more contemporary approach on this album.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

While the quality of musicianship remains strong throughout the album, some of the young performers aren't quite up to the challenge of conveying Elvis's distinctive vocal style: Weak delivery and limited range in "All Shook Up" and "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" mar an otherwise fun recording.

Makes fun of Elvis!
Pathetic remakes of really good songs. Elvis would not be happy. Elvis Presley was a great singer and this album pokes fun at him. Disrespectful!

absoulute disaster!! I am horrified
What is this, a bunch of garbage is what it is, i am one of the biggest elvis fan, memorized almost all of his songs(with exception to his gospel songs because there is so many!)But what is so bad at letting the kids listen to the king? nothing at all bad in his masterpieces, disgracing his name in such a manner makes me want to up-chuck. I belive that elvis should be heard from the original way not retarded kid singing it, THIS IS NOT KIDZ BOB, for crist sake, dont mess with the king,
