Parents need to know that this single is just a wee little steamier for the Jonas Brothers than the typical campy stuff we've heard from them in the past as the boys lament about a girl that they're hot for. It's still fine for tweens, though. The video is a tame James Bond-esque montage of the band fighting crime and saving the ladies from peril.
The first single from their upcoming album A Little Bit Longer, BURNIN' UP is about the boys' temperature rising when they think about a girl. The lyrics are a tiny bit more direct and mature, but still completely fine for tweens -- especially girls. The song also features a rap from their bodyguard, Big Rob. In the video, the brothers are hanging poolside reading a script that has Nick playing James Bond, Joe in Miami Vice mode, and Kevin doing kung fu. What's a girl not to love about this adorable trio playing action heroes?
The Jonas Brothers sure know how to turn up the heat for their fans. "Burnin' Up" is definitely a catchy little ditty that will capture the hearts of tween girls everywhere. They'll no doubt all want to be the girl that Nick, Joe, and Kevin are singing about, but whether they are or not, they'll still love this fun pop-rock number that these boys are so famous for churning out.
Families can talk about Disney's marketing machine. Everything the company touches turns to gold. How are they so successful with their tween audience? What do you imagine a day in the marketing department is like? How do you think they know what kids are interested in?
