What to talk about

Talk to your kids
Families can talk about the values expressed, and whether or not songs (or other art forms) can really help you develop self-esteem by hitting you over the head with a message. You can also talk about the different Cheetah girls and their personalities. Which one is most like you?

What's the story?

What's the story?
In CHEETAH GIRLS 2, the indelibly adorable girls are back, chirping merrily about friendship, individuality, and self-esteem -- all set to irresistibly rockin' (if overly synthesized) beats, with a little help from some famous and talented friends. The Cheetah Girls began as a Disney Channel Original Movie based on a best-selling book series for kids and tweens. This soundtrack of the sequel tracks the aspiring rock stars, led by the amazing Raven-Symone (as Galleria), as they wind up in Barcelona. Raven-Symone takes the lead on a few cuts, and special guest Belinda Peregrin contributes wonderful Spanish-language vocals, but most of the heavy lifting is done in ensemble by Adrienne Bailon (as Chanel), Sabrina Bryan (as Dorinda), and Kiely Williams (as Aquanette).

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

The (uncredited) musicians who provide the instrumental tracks are excellent, delivering surprising accordion fills and delicious piano work. Most of the lyrics are upbeat and friendly. "You don't have to be like anybody else/So what's the problem, why can't you be like yourself/You're individual, you might as well let it show/Because you're beautiful just the way you are" ("Do Your Own Thing") and "We're sisters, we stand together/We make up one big family though we don't look the same" ("Cheetah Sisters") are typical, providing uplifting girl-power messages with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

This CD is basically Kid-Friendly POP for all ages!
THis CD is not bad at all! It is just very sassy and all cheetahlicious. But otherwise go to the store if ur a little girl and buy it! But you will probably get a little bored out by it by age 10..................(It is alot like High School Musical 2)

I LOVED THIS !!!!!!! ALL GIRLS WOULD ENJOY THIS!!!

for 5 year olds
they realy blew it. its all right for your 5 yr old to watch but you wont want to watch with her.

again whatever
Is this as corny as it sounds? Also who are these guys at theparentsreviewcentar? Come on seventeen and up? No self respecting seventeen year old would toutch that. I mean it's aimed at girls between eight and twelve. Are you guys for real or are you really just a thirteen year old with to much time on your hands? Anyway if I had a preteen girl I rather have her listening to this than most of the albums reviewed recently.

Eh....
I am a huge fan of the first Cheetah Girls songs like Cinderella and Togther We Can. This music is allright. The choeography is gr8 but the songs r'nt as good as they were be4. Even though Step Up and Strut r good, this will not beat High School Musical songs.
