"The Christmas Song" ("Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire") is a beloved Christmas classic, done by greats from Nat King Cole to Celine Dion. Bieber, with Usher, gives it a contemporary spin that's mostly appealing, as long as you like the occasional R&B melodic runs between Bieber and Usher. It may not rival Cole's version, but it's a nice rendition that's sure to put anyone, young or old, in the holiday spirit.
Families can talk about the appeal of Christmas music. Do you think this is a song that you and your family would enjoy and listen to during the holidays? Or is this a song that only appeals to Bieber fans?
It's very common for popular singers to make Christmas albums. Do you think these contemporary holiday versions will still be popular several years from now, like the classics that we still listen to today? (Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, etc.)
