What to talk about

Talk to your kids

Families can talk about how you handle tough challenges facing you in pursuit of your goal. Does it make you want to give up -- or work harder? Does listening to songs about people who have stuggled to achieve their goals make you want to work harder?

What's the story?

What's the story?

First performed at the Kids Inaugural concert, "THE CLIMB" is from Miley Cyrus' forthcoming feature film, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and is being released as a single. The song is about facing odds that seem insurmountable but continuing to "climb" towards your dreams. With lyrics like, "Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side, It's the climb," Cyrus, in the guise of her alter ego Hannah Montana, tells herself to "Keep on moving, Keep climbing, Keep the faith baby."

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. "The Climb" comes at a crucial point in the movie when Hannah Montana needs to buck up and take on the challenges facing her. The girl can belt out a ballad like nobody's business -- and her fans love her for it. Do kids care if the lyrics are cliched? Nope. Parents might cringe, but Cyrus pulls it off convincingly and confidently.

Wow, that's lame how the descriptive of this review says 'Great singing makes cliched lyrics believable (almost)' Prejudiced much? I don't believe these lyrics are cliche at all. Its a terrific song. I'm mad at this site for having such lousy reviews.

Spoiled Celeb Child
There's nothing even remotely cool about her. Like the Jonas Brothers, her music has no emotion or sentimental meaning. She only became famous because her father was already famous, so she represents getting it all without working for it, which makes her a bad role model.

good song, but read what i say...
very cute song. nice and inspirational except for the fact that she is not a good singer and not a good role model. i just heard and read about her pole dancing drama at the teen choice awards. while performing her song, she hopped onto an ice cream cart which had a pole on it. first miley grabbed the pole and kept singing, then she squatted down with a leg on either side. she then stood back up and dismounted the cart. now, this might be more innocent except for the other things she's done, which if you listen to any of this music or watch disney you should know about. she was wearing short booty shorts and a fairly skimpy top, which was cute but innapropriate considering her age and the typical age of her growing number of fans. so just be careful. she has made mistakes before and so does everyone else. but when you make stupid mistakes that can be easily avoided with little thought, it's not too hard to judge her as a bad role model. this could have easily been avoided by not adding in the squat, or at least not making it seem like a pole dance, wearing cute but more modest clothes, etc. thanks for reading and if you google her you will be sure to find more on everything she's done! thanks!
