What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this award-winning album is a great way to teach your kids important life lessons, such as speaking clearly and answering the phone, as well as the importance of being kind to everyone. Kids will learn social skills and what it means to be a bully without feeling like they’re being preached to.

  • This album is meant to teach kids about etiquette, self-esteem, and how to be a positive example to those around them.
  • Album is all about helping kids build self-esteem and combat bullying. Every song has a positive lesson, from being kind to everyone, including yourself, to never forgetting to say "please" and "thank you." Song "Polite to Me" says, "I've only got one life you see, so I'm gonna be polite to me."
  • Songs teach kids about good character and positive social skills. "That is Why" says, "cause if you make somebody's feeling hurt, it's only gonna make you feel like a jerk. I'd rather be a nice guy."
  • Not applicable.

What's the story?

COOL KIND KID is an award-winning album from the educational curriculum Tanner’s Manners that teaches social skills and good character values for kids, in addition to helping them combat bullying at school and build self-esteem. The 17 original tracks teach kids how to be “cool” and “kind” with upbeat music and lessons that they won’t forget.

Is it any good?

Without being too preachy, Cool Kind Kid uses mixes of bluesy and country rock to teach kids about what it means to be a kind, decent human being. This album puts basic manners in the spotlight in a way that kids will enjoy, dance to, and, above all, embrace.

Explore, discuss, enjoy

  • Families can talk about what it means to be a bully. Have you ever known someone who acts like a bully? How does it make you feel? What can you do about it?

  • Can you give examples of what a bully might say or do? What is cyberbullying?

  • Do you practice good manners at home and at school? Do you think kids are becoming too involved with computers, the Internet, and texting, and forgetting what it means to interact with people face-to-face?

Awful, don't torture your kids.
I CANT BELIEVE THIS! THE CHILDREN ARE SO BARBARIC AND DISGUSTING AND THERE IS NO KINDNESS WHATSOEVER. THE CHILDREN ARE CONSTANTLY WATCHING SEX TAPES AND THEY DRINK AND SMOKE. PLUS THEY BEAT UP KIDS WEAKER THAN THEMSELVES, THEY'RE FILTHY LITTLE POTATO WITTED BRATS. ALL IN ALL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 10/10 WOULD DESTROY WITH SICKLES.
