Is this too sexy?
Moaning, and breathy vocals sum up most of Miss Jackson's new album. This is a VERY sexual cd. The Parental Advisory version features two songs titled WARMTH and MOIST. They are the worst, but overall 13+ should handle it fine. I love the songs SEXHIBITION, STRAWBERRY BOUNCE, I WANT YOU, and R&B JUNKIE. Those are up tempo and fun. Overall the language consists of 2 "f" words (in STRAWBERRY BOUNCE) and 1 "n" word (in MY BABY). This definatley keeps my rhythm nation moving

There are tons of EDITED copies! I've seen them everywhere and they do not include the songs: MOIST or the other thing.

You've been warned
The albun has some really catchy tracks such as all nite, R&B Junkie and Little While however there is huge amount of sexual content including sexihibiton (from the title you'll know) Moist, SloLove and especially Warmth.

Jackson Family Massacre
What can I say? This is Janet Jackson, who would have probably never became a singer if the Jackson 5 was never successful, and she does it again. A lame album. It is like Michael's newest album- BAD (no I am not referring to THAT album). Although Michael does have a little bit of talent, where Janet Jackson isn't a really a good singer and has lyrics that are as bad as gangsta rap well almost. If you want an album that is good lyrically and sounding and semi-family friendly (depends on your family's tastes) then I suggest the Matt Sharp solo album.

If you are a Janet fan, be prepared to be disappointed!
Ms. Jackson is one of my all-time favorite artists. Basically, she is amazing in my eyes. However, as a fan who owns most of Janet's cds, Damita Jo greatly disappointed me. While the cd does contain some sexually explicit songs, it has a couple of up beat ones that resembles Janet's style. With rising stars such as Beyonce, Brittany Spears, and others, Janet has lyrically turned up the heat on the cd. Although Janet is known for her sex appeal, she really tried too hard to be sexy, which put a damper on the entire cd. I recommend Damita Jo for those 16 and older.

One of Janet's Best!
A great album, with great songs. Janet said the song was about love, and it is. THere are many edited copies on sale, so it isn't an issue. It's just fun dance music!

Janet Damita Jo Jackson
Sexual Content: Commonsensemedia over reacted however a few lyrics could be considered excplict. "Work it like you're working a pole, pop it like you're poppin' a cork, jerk it like your workin a choke" in All Nite, Don't Stop, and the song "Sexhabition" as a whole Violence: Not an issue Language: Muthaf--ka in Strawberry Bounce, along with some sexual banter (e.g. I wanna sexplore you) here and there qualifies Damita Jo for a parental advisory sticker. Social Behavior: Not an issue Commercialism: Not an issue Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco: Not an issue Excplicit: Pause for 15+ Clean: Pause for 13+ Some sexual innuedo still lurks in the clean version. Teens and up.
