What to talk about

Talk to your kids
Families can talk about what it takes to be a pop star at age 15. What is Cheyenne's life like these days? How much of a normal teenage life did she have to give up to get where she is today? The song "Hello Goodbye" seems to be about an ex-boyfriend/stalker. What is the best way to handle a situation like this in real life?

What's the story?

What's the story?
Cheyenne Kimball is a Texas teenager with American-beauty-blonde good looks and an expressive, baby-doll voice. Three years after winning the televised talent show America's Most Talented Kid at age 12, she landed a recording contract with Sony and her own MTV reality show, Cheyenne, chronicling the making of her debut album, THE DAY HAS COME. Cheyenne addresses issues important to teenagers, including the ups and downs of love: Betrayal, disappointment, excitement, and lust are all communicated with the subtlest of innuendo, so there's no explicit language. "Hanging On" touches on depression and despair, with a glimmer of gritty determination and hope. "Hello Goodbye" is a spirited Dear John letter to an ex-boyfriend whose behavior verges on stalking. This might provoke a family discussion about how to deal with this situation in real life.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

Cheyenne gets co-author credit on every song and provides guitar tracks for most of them. Unlike many albums by youngsters swept up in the mainstream pop machine, this CD allows the artist's personality and talent to shine through -- a feat considering the slick, heavy-hitting production team (including the Matrix, Chantal Kreviazuk, and former members of Blind Melon). But then, it makes sense to let a maturing young artist like Cheyenne follow her own good instincts and show off her amazing raw talent.

It's pretty goood!!
I loved Cheyenne on her show, and just had to pre-order this CD to have an autographed copy!!! It's just great! You can tell that she worked very hard on her CD and the songs are so relatable! I think it's great that she helped write the songs, plays the guitar, and sings on all of the tracks! This is truly a CD worth the money.
