What parents need to know

Parents need to know that these tunes are the most well-known, beloved songs from the various Disney princesses, from Snow White to Rapunzel, so the only thing your little princesses will be disappointed in is the questionable absence of Aladdin's Jasmine. Content-wise, these songs are perfectly appropriate for preschoolers and up.

  • Classic fairy tale songs teach young girls to dream big and be themselves.
  • Songs are about reaching for your dreams and not being afraid to be the person you're meant to be. "The Glow" encourages girls to discover the princess inside of them: "Once you believe you are ready to shine, the princess inside you will show."
  • These princesses dream big but are down-to-earth, warm-hearted, and always kind.
  • Not applicable.

What's the story?

Little princesses will love DISNEY PRINCESS: FAIRY TALE SONGS, a collection of favorites from Disney princess movies Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Pocahontas, The Princess and the Frog, and Tangled. The contemporary single, "The Glow," sung by Shannon Saunders, is a lovely tune to teach girls the eternal message that we all have the ability to shine and make our dreams come true.

Is it any good?

Instead of mish-mashing a compilation of popular songs with generic versions, Disney has finally released a collection of the most popular Disney princess songs on one album. The only one missing, regrettably, is Jasmine's "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. But girls and their families will love having the rest of their favorites in one place. British newcomer Saunders makes a nice addition with the sweet princess-themed single "The Glow," about finding the princess inside of you.
