What parents need to know

Parents need to know that there's nothing offensive here. Preschoolers (especially fans of the TV show) will be especially drawn to the CD.

  • Not applicable.
  • Liner notes include marketing promotions for coloring and activity books, membership to their fan club, a tour schedule, DVDs, and toy instruments.

What's the story?

ROCK AND BOP WITH THE DOODLEBOPS is a companion CD to the popular Doodlebops television program. Deedee, Rooney, and Moe are a live-action, cartoon and puppet-like rock & roll trio. Clad in psychedelically colored costumes, they perform slickly produced, sugary rock and pop songs that little kids will love. The Doodlebops cover a lot of territory on 21 songs. Kids learn the benefits of reading ("Look in a Book"), how to be a good friend ("Getting Along" and "My Friend"), and good eating habits ("Cauliflower").

Is it any good?

The group's high energy, creativity, and sincerity go a long way toward engaging little ones. Especially fun are the nonsensical dance and sing-along songs like "Wobbly Whoopsy," "The Bird Song," and "Gibble Gobble." Liner notes include marketing promotions for coloring and activity books, membership to their fan club, a tour schedule, DVDs, and toy instruments.

WONDERFUL
I have two little girls and they absolutely love the Doodlebops. They attempt to sing the DO-DO-DO-DO-DO- DOODLEBOPS song and also can sing the chant.. "i promise to share, i promise to care, altogher as a team..." they love the music and I would recommend it to anyone with small children!
