What's the story?

This single from Nickolodeon's upcoming movie musical, Spectacular!, is a spirited, all-cast-on-deck number that's one never-ending crescendo. EVERYTHING CAN CHANGE is about not being able to predict or control everything that happens in life, and how sometimes things turn out differently than what we expected.

Is it any good?

 

The song doesn't stand alone as well as another one of the show's singles, "Don't Tell Me." While it starts out strong, it needs a context, a "performance," or at least a connection to the characters to avoid becoming repetitive and predictable. But the message -- we can't control everything in life, and sometimes it's good to be surprised by what we leave to chance or fate -- is hard to take issue with.
