Beautiful but Sad Music, Some Intense Songs
Fallen features beautiful music, and a lot of it is actually positive in spite of the dark sound. The main concern for letting younger kids listen to it is the generally spooky sound of most of the music and two songs - "Tourniquet" is about finding salvation on the verge of suicide and "Haunted" is about being stalked and, possibly, sexually assaulted. As a sexual assault survivor and a Christian who was very depressed at one point in her life, I can say that "Tourniquet" and "Haunted" were both important songs to hear because they gave me someone to relate to (and "Tourniquet", after all is said and done, is about holding on through the darkness), but tweens and little ones probably shouldn't be listening to them just yet.

The best contemporary band in a while (worth it)
If you're worried that they turned contemporary, dont. They are worth it and it's sooo clean. Yhey may be dark but thats a way to reach people.

Great CD! The songs were somewhat calming.
These songs are really angsty and make you feel calm and sad. I liked this CD because Amy Lee's voice was so great. It didn't sound fake at all. I recommend this CD to Teens!

Pretty good for that Techno-Metal Stuff.
Well I personally liked some of this CD. It wasn't gigantic fun but it has a good message. I wouldn't say they are a very dark band, contrary to popular belief they aren't, which makes them good for anyone over 8 years old.

Very outstanding
Very outstanding, incredible, the best cd I've ever herd and listend to. Kinda dark but very soothing. She has the best voice anyone has ever heard. If you say she has a bad voice you have water in your ear.

Wow, what a voice!
Beautiful and haunting lyrics that lap at your mind, conjuring images of pain, sorrow, and loss. This album is wonderful, and Amy Lee's vocal prowress is stunning and powerful, making you feel the emotions eminating in the lyrics. Maybe not something for the younger set to listen to, but teens will hear and understand the massage loud and clear. Also, girls interested in singing will hear her voice and go, "I wanna sing like her!" (Like me, I want her talent! >.<) Her voice is wonderful, the music is wonderful, everything's wonderful! I give it major props! =D Go Amy Lee!

Great CD!
Some people might say that this CD is for the depressed and depressing, but I definately don't. I love it! Whenever you are depressed (and it happens to everyone) you feel like you're all alone in the world. This CD helps you see that your not, and comforts you by crying with you.

EVANESCENCE IS AWESOME!
Evanescence like it or not has touched everybody's heart with this album and including the "Anywhere but home" CD/DVD that contains songs live in paris and featured songs... videos and more..."Fallen" has real good songs but for the exseption that to me some songs sound kind of the same...i guess because its her same voice...lol

amazing
Amy Lee's beautiful vocals paired with deep, memorable lyrics make for a great record. Fallen is definitely darker than Evanescence's first CD, but it isn't really as depressing as most people assume. "Tourniquet" is the only really 'iffy' song; its lyrics are centered around suicide and religion. It can be quite thought-provoking (as well as the rest of the tracks) for teens and adults, but it probably isn't too appropriate for younger children.

you have to listen to this
i LOVE this album. amy lee sounds perfect and her voice isn't fake at all - i've heard her perform live. the rest of the band did a great job too. i love the guitar solos. but kids under 13 probably won't be able to understand it. the lyrics about angst and pain and suffering... not little kid stuff.

GO EVANESCENCE!
I love the band Evanescence SO SO much that I listen to it alot! But there is a problem---my mother does NOT want me listening to or singing the song, "Tourniquet." She says the song has a very bad message with the lyrics, "I long to die!"
