What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Jacqueline Rupp

Ciara's third album, FANTASY RIDE has been a dream come true for the young singer, becoming her most successful release to date. On the super-steamy CD, Ciara mixes it up with a number of musical partners including Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, and Chris Brown. With a comic book theme, the singer portrays heroine Super C throughout the liner notes, and on various tracks plays a host of sexy roles, from doctor to private dancer and onto erotic magician.

Is It Any Good?

Ciara takes on the role of superhero on her latest album, but from most of the song lyrics, it seems the only real super-power this songstress possesses is the ability to physically please men. A few tracks are definitely dance-worthy, like "Keep Me Dancin'" and "Work" featuring Missy Elliott. In fact, Ciara gets a lot of help from her all-star collaborations and it's easy to wonder if her superpowers would be diminished had she not teamed up with such powerful guest stars.
