What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this CD set contains all three original Fraggle Rock albums. The songs, though not new, have been remastered, and the set includes a mini photo album and booklet with interviews with some of the talents behind the series. There's some song overlap on the three albums, including the theme song (which opens and closes each album) and a couple of other songs that appear more than once. The songs are all clean and promote friendship and acceptance of others.

What's the story?

Parents who were fans of Fraggle Rock and its lovable cast of fuzzy critters (who can forget Marjorie the All Knowing Trash Heap?) will get a kick out of sharing their childhood memories with their own kids. FRAGGLE ROCKIN' is a complete set of all three original albums from the popular Jim Henson series, which aired on PBS from 1983 to 1987.

Is it any good?

The still-fresh tunes are upbeat, the lyrics intelligent, and the message is positive -- have fun, help your friends, use your imagination, and be curious. The TV show promoted harmony among all types of folks (or critters).

What families can talk about

Families can talk about the values promoted by the Fraggle Rock series: harmony among different species, as well as fun and friendship. What does it mean to be a true friend? Why is it important to accept all people for who they are?
