Great Album
Modest Mouse is a great band. They shift from yelling songs (this is indie we are talking about not metal so don't get the wrong idea) to melodic songs to the plain out bizarre songs. Thoroughly enjoyable if it is your music taste, if not then change your taste (you don't have to, it is just a suggestion).

To be honest, I find Modest Mouse to be a perfectly mediocre band. It consists of almost crazed sounding vocals, violent themes, and considerable swearing; there is certain lovely imagery though. However, young person looking for music about Modest Mouse's favorite subjects- ships and death- will do better with the Decemberists.

Great album filled with catchy tunes
I absoutly loved this album. I don't know why, but it just appeals to me. Sure, the songs project morbid images and the f-bomb is dropped a few times as well as other words, but who is gonna take it seriously? The unique style also appeals to me, it's like nothing else I've ever heard. The vocals get all weird and crazy, but the instruments rarely get above the normal volume.

Great Album :)
A couple f-words in one song is all I've heard, otherwise it's totally acceptable. Pretty mature content about death that will probably go over most kids' heads.

Awesome!!!
Modest Mouse is perhaps one of the best bands out there! This album shows that! Songs like "Float on" and "World At large" are really sweet and nice, while others, "Satin in a Coffin" "Black Cadillacs" aren't the most appropriate for most kids...But still. An awesome album and perhaps one of there best!
