Catchy Tune, Negative Messages
As content goes, I Kissed a Girl is blessedly tame compared to many other popular singles. The song never goes farther than kissing, sex-wise, but the messages are not so good. For me the same-sex kiss is a non-issue. Parents, pay attention to the REAL negatives such as using another person to get back at a boyfriend and having a drink to embolden oneself.

wow...
This song...ahh...i cant take it...but thats just my view...soo its about a girl kissing another girl...i dont know how that makes an entertaining song but...you know...whatever....the only reason i gave the Sexual content iffy was because its like "i kissed a girl and i liked it"..first time i heard it...i was like..uhh...what the? I hate this song but theres really no bad content in it..so 10 yr olds would probably enjoy it lol

This is an obviously controversial song
How can someone recommend this song? Katy Perry is bisexual; she "kissed a girl and (she) liked it". Those are very iffy lyrics, not to mention the drunk references. It has a catchy beat, like many pop songs, but the song is all about a girl kissing another girl. Not many Top 40 songs have lyrics as objectionable as this song.
