I Thought I Lost You (CD single)

What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Jessica Dawson

I THOUGHT I LOST YOU is the theme song from Disney's new animated movie, Bolt, about a TV show dog who gets lost in New York City and doesn't realize that his made-for-TV powers aren't real. John Travolta provides the voice of Bolt, while teen queen Miley Cyrus co-stars as the voice of Penny. Together they perform on the movie's theme song, an upbeat ditty about realizing the importance of friendship.

Is It Any Good?

Cyrus and Travolta are both talented singers who blend well on this country-twinged pop track with lots of acoustic guitar and nice harmonies. Travolta even shows up in the video with Cyrus, so he might just win over some Disney-age fans who otherwise would ask their parents, "John who?"

Bolt seems destined to be another bonafide hit for Disney, but no doubt the talent of its stars, as heard in "I Thought I Lost You," will be just one more charge to get tails wagging everywhere. It's sure to get fans electrified for the movie and its little dog wonder, Bolt.
