no "songs about jane"
worse than first album. Parts of the album sound like disco which i guess is okay if u like that genre. "F*** and g**D**n are in Makes Me wonder and there is some other uncomfortable content on the album.....

Great Music! The only thing i really noticed is in the corus to Makes Me Wonder he says: I still dont have the reasons, and u dont have the time, and it really makes me wonder if i ever gave a f--k about you. and god d--n is said in the same song.

I love this album, as long as you know not to use the words they use it's fine, just watch out for "Makes Me Wonder" with the "f-bomb", and "wake up call" with shooting. Makes me wonder is actually the most catchy, so if your kids don't really listen to the lyrics, it's fine. If you want a more appropriate alternative, i'd go with "Won't Go Home Without You."

I Was Worried When My 9-Year Old Sister Turned It On!
Wow. You never think that when you have a sister only two years younger then you that you would have to worry about what music they listen to. Well my sister (9-year old) turned it on and had to bring the song to school for a music class project and danced to it, I was listening to the words for dance move ideas, and it talked about holding on for one last drink! I was worried that my sister would think it was okay. The lyrics in "Paralyzer" are good but the meanign of the song is not so great for under 13.

The only song I like on this album is Makes Me Wonder, but the rest are either have lots of sexual content or violence. Buy Maroon 5's first album. It's a lot cleaner...and a whole lot better.

Love love love love love Maroon 5 :)
This is like my 3rd favorite band (Green Day being first, AC/DC being second, Maroon 5 being third) but Im being completely honest. First of all, my favorite songs on here are Makes Me Wonder, If I never See your face again, and wont go home without you, the rest are great too. Second, Maroon 5 is another one of those bands thhat pretty much only sings about girls, so sexual references are HUGE in this album and Songs About Jane.Third, let your kids listen because its not much swear words, just one use of f*** and thats it. Plus, its not screamo, and its good, enjoyable rock :)

Great Music
The music was great. The themes were not as ranged as Songs About Jane, but if you look in general, the music is catchy, you can tell they mean it. Wake Up Cal is pretty iffy, with gun violence at partners infidelity, but othere than that, not much language. I always heard Makes me Wonder so they do not say "f--k." You probably can buy a better version on Itunes. Bonus Tracks are the best. You cannot find it in America in CD, but you can buy it on Itunes for $10. I am not kidding, this album is good. They rate it bad because they say all iffy things are crap except for a few exceptions.

Bad for kids or anyone!
I was looking for maroon 5 on itunes, i wanted to buy the album untill i was listening to the song makes me wonder with my mom and we heard the Go- Da----
word! I Was shocked i heared The GD word,so my mom said i couldn't buy the album. I couldn't believe that there was any bad language in this album it said it was clean! Do not buy this album if you don't like to here bad language! Also there are stuff about sex. I don't think anyone should buy this CD...This album is not ok for kids!

Jane is better, but this is good too.
I LOVE "Wake Up Call" and "Makes Me Wonder." There's swearing, but everyone I know swears anyway so im not offended. Jane is better, but Before Long is still fun!

sex is only issue
This band has greta music although adressing sex once and a while. Words like F*** are used, but hold no sexual perposes. Buy it and listen to it for the sound, not for the content.
