The music is appropriate for all ages, but music like this is becoming common and way to overrated. I can understand why todays youth sees this band as good role models for their possitive messages they use in their lyrics, especially in these dark times we are facing, but this just isnt music to my ears. And no its not because im a headbanger who finds kiddy bands as "anti-cool". I just think their there overblown and if I could be so blunt, sexual manipulatives, even if they dont mean to be. The purity rings doesn't really help the fact that girls ranging from age 5-12 are googly gaga over their bodies and wants a peice of all 3. If you get my drift...
Like many, we are huge Jonas Brothers fans in our house. About all we watch is the Disney Channel; I am a young mom and my daughter is still small. How delighted was I to discover this group?
This is the style and tempo of music I enjoy, and there is little else I am comfortable playing in my daughter's company because of the content I'm not ready for her to pick up. I listened to a lot of edgy rock, pop and indie music, and as a young adult the dark, violent or sexual themes never really occurred to me. It won't do now, passing the afternoon with a 4 year old.
I have to admit, as a mom, the Jonas Brothers have come to my rescue!! There is no issue for me playing this, and enjoying it with my very young girl. Now I can share my taste with her and we rock out together with no concerns.
They are talented and wholesome, their emotion and performance are genuine, and it makes me feel like a teen again listening to them. Don't hesitate to jump on this bandwagon, I think they are destined to join the pop music pantheon.
The Jonas Brothers are a great group for kids of all ages, even my age or older! The group never sings about anything above a G rating. They're squeeky clean.
I do want to mention that on the right side of the page in the 'Social Behavior' box, the lyrics are wrong. "Next time I see you I'm giving you a high five/'Cause HUGS (not scars) are overrated just FYI"
Like i have said be4. i am the oldest of 12 kids. adn we all lvoe hannah and the joans brothers. they are soo involved in there fans and treat them all with respect. They have all dif. ways to contect them and there music is just fantasic. Plus there cute.
I LOVE THE JONAS BROTHERS!
I dont see how anyone can like them. They are horrible singers, and they work for disney. What could be worse? getting hit in the head with a piano while listening to it. Oh wait, you wouldnt hear it any more. (By the rating, i meant like, Its so bad its not appropriate.)
I'm a seventeen [almost eighteen] year old girl and I love the Jonas Brothers. My best friend and I drove to Virginia for one of their concerts and we had the most amazing time. Not only do they have gorgeous voices and adorable looks, but they have this fantastic stage presence. The middle brother, Joe, has so much energy. I own both of their CDs and all I want for Christmas and my birthday is tickets to see them when they come to my city for the Hannah Montana tour.
Definitely my favorite band ever.
on a revie someone put..."Lyrics like "Next time I see you I'm giving you a high five/'Cause scars are overrated just FYI" in a break-up song promote a nice-guy image, consistent throughout." those aren't the real lyrics the REAL lyrics are..."Next time i see you i'm giving you a high-five it's not too overrated just fyi..." Yeah you got the lyrics wrong...
I love the jonas brothers they are good looking they sign VERYY well and NICK Jonas is.......... hott i mean spicy hott i am in 8th grade and every one loves them ok maybe just the girls but everyone signs to them and they are very popular and when they came to our town like everyone went but i couldnt i was very mad but i would say this is a good choice for any age
Watched "Jonas"TV. Heard CD. Went to Mellon Arena concert. No crotch grabbing, hip gyrations. No swearing. Nothing but a little fliration from Joe Jonas who worked the crowd well. Kevin and Nick are clear-eyed talented musicians who carry an aura of fan appreciation and a dedication to something other than stardom. I pray these boys stay close to their pastor father and live to please their Heavenly Father thanking him for the Gift of the Holy Spirit. I feel this is their attractive Force and they should share that fact more often with their impressionable fans.
I have 2 daughters, (9 and 12) My 9 year old likes all three, even Kevin. I like Kevin too, (lol) But my oldest daughter calls them 'hot' and what not, and shes almost a teen, what can I say, shes into boys, and Im glad shes into good, kid friendly boys who have good music. Very very good for kids, its rock, but its good for kids.
I think this band is great! Their music is fun and they display a lot of talent for their ages. My 12-yr-old daughter discovered their first album and counted down the days till this recent one. We listen to both of them together and I am impressed with their clean lyrics and some very good thoughts behind their songs (check out the encouraging lyrics to "Hold On.") Lots of fun for kids and Moms!
Though I am older, I do think I know good music. Even just the music end of it without lyrics. I sat out 24 hours for front row seats for 5 girls. I just dont think they are any good. For $50 a seat I expect better. I just sat camped out for Raven tickets and I expect her show will be very good. These guys just cant sing that well and the songs are just to forgettable. I take the girls, grand daughter and god daughter to Broadway shows and concerts and try to expose them to anything age appropriate that has some value. Just saw Little Mermaid in NYC and it was charming. I do ramble so let me finish. I think taking our kids to concerts is great, and I will continue to do so, I just thought these guys were not very good. Just my opinion.
