well I have love akon for long time but not right for kids in my age.My parents say that smack that song is bad for me to listen to but I did'nt care about that, but when I have kids I am not letting my kids listen smack that song or any bad songs that is not good for my kids to listen!I just want my kids to wait till they are older to listen because they can get to listen whatever they want.I am trying to keep my kids not to listen bad stuff from other people.please e-mail me back and it doe'nt hurt me.
ok everybody who hates akon is a loser he is just so awesome and i dont mena that in a bad way for people to be called loser but stil who deosnt like akon I MEANOME ONE!
This is really good CD and I don't think theres really that much wrong. He hardly says the F word at all expet for in the song I wanna love you so i think you should probably skip that song. Most kids wont understand smack that so i dont think it matters if they listen to it. Even though he talks about guns and violence, it dosn't really affect me in anyway.
Parents, with this CD there is some iffy content, but if you feel the need just talk to your kids because if they want it there is absolutley no reason why they shouldn't have it. As long as you know your kid is mature enough to listen to this type of music I think it is okay.
I love it I mean who wouden't well sure it has some bad words here and there but nobody is going to listen and say oh a bad word it is the song or CD that they like so I give this 5 stars!!!
I think that there is like one appropreiete song on this album which is Don't Matter. I own that song. But I think Smack That, I Wanna Love you, they are too graphic and it is sick the way they talk about women these days. I really hate it! I think Akon is a very bad role model for my generation! He shows young kids that women are basically "toys" and you can pay them to have sex with you or you can treat them how ever you want to treat them. It isn't right and I think Akon is just screaming PERV, PERV!!! I like two of his songs, Don't Matter and Lonely. I think that Akon's music has a catchy little rythum, beat whatever but the lyrics are over the top! I can't believe how explicit they are. And I wanna Love you is so explicit that it can't even be played on the radio, they had to make a cleaner version that was I wanna LOVE you not I wanna F*** you. The song really had to be changed to become appropriete for the radio. This album really isn't right for any one and I almost want to say I hate all of Akon's lyrics except for two!
i wanna love you is really bad for people under the age of 17. says the f word a lot. talks about having sex (of course sense it has the f word in it a lot). says says a lot of other bad words in the soundtrack
OMG! !y friend had this album and she was playing it in her car.We were listining to i wanna love you and it the f word and a lot of words that i should not be hearing! Its not that great.
A Great album that delivers in terms of quality and variety.
This is a great album but while there are some explicit songs about violence and sex, that only is about 6 of the songs on this album. Actually the first 4 songs of the album are the explicit ones. After that there is "Gangsta Bop" and "Tired of Runnin'" The first 4 songs are 1. Shake Down 2. Blown Away 3. Smack That 4. I Wanna Love You. After that things got toned down. On the Deluxe version there are even more great songs. Every song on here is great. "Sorry, Blame It on Me" from the deluxe version is a complex song that is probably one of the best songs by Akon. What I don't really get about the review by Commonsense is that they noted the most explicit songs and did not really mention non-explicit songs such as "Never Took The Time", "The Rain", "Once In A While" and more. I would actually consider this album a masterpiece. I would suggest the edited version for kids.
This is a totally average CD. He couldn't do anything better. At school last year this boy on my bus wouldn't stop playing it. Sometimes really annoying.
Sexual Content: Excplicit. "I see you winding and grinding, up on the pole, I know you see me looking at you and you already know I wanna f**k you", "Smack that till you get sore",and "The way she climbs up and down them poles". Violence: Some gunshot effects and violent refrences. Language: F**k, s**t, and p**sy used frequently. The "N" word used infrequently throughout the album. Social Behaviour: Not the best of messages. Commercialism: Not an issue. Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco: A few mentions of buying a bottle.
Konvicted by Akon Off for 15+
Smack That and I Wanna F**k You are the best tracks here. I suggest buying them and leaving the rest of the album out if you are 15 and over. Edited version avaible at Target and Wal-Mart. Enjoy!
