What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this kid-friendly music has a Beatles-esque quality, with fun, positive messages about seeing the good in every day and everyone. It addresses typical kid issues such as a bad hair day or the frustration in learning to tie your shoes; there's nothing questionable here.

Positive messages: Lots of positive messages about "finding the silver lining" in everything.
Positive role models: This group knows how to have fun, no matter what!

What to talk about

Talk to your kids
  • Families can talk about the way that musicians young and old influence each other. Do you think there's music today that sounds like music from another time? What's your favorite kind of music? Rap? Rock? Country? Why? Do you think this music will still be around when you are a grownup? Do you think you will still like it?
  • The song "Have a Party When You Get the Blues" talks about bringing yourself up when you feel down. What kinds of things make you feel sad or down? What do you do to make yourself feel better? Does having friends or family around help?
