"Let's Get Crazy" (CD single)

What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Jacqueline Rupp

Although Miley Cyrus songs usually get a lot of attention, LET'S GET CRAZY serves double-duty: as a single release in its own right and as promotional material for the feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie, debuting April 2009. The song is all about letting your hair down and partying with your friends. Of course, it does reference the "leading two lives" premise, like other Cyrus songs with high-velocity lyrics like "You see me on the cover of a magazine, remember, things are always different than the way that it seems."

Is It Any Good?

Fun, fluff, fashion...these are all things that have become trademarks of the Hannah Montana brand. And with this release Miley Cyrus proves that she knows what the crowd wants and can deliver the goods. It's hard not to get charged up by the energy level of this song; Cyrus seems to have the chops and the magnetism to pull off anything. And although it doesn't offer any lyrical revelations or instrumental innovation, the song works perfectly to set the stage and whet the appetites of hungry Hannah fans. Take a listen and you are sure to smile.
