good cd, poweful, go listen to their debut Tell All Your Friends, then check out the newest New Again, and for fans you will like their 2nd cd Where You Want To Be
not the best album by taking back sunday, but if you are as big of fan as TBS as i am, then you will love it. their lyrics go so deep and there is some very strong meaning behind adam lazzara's lyrics. great for everyone. best tracks on the cd would def. be : My Blue Heaven, Divine Intervention, Miami, and of course Liar.
I don't know how I stumbled upon this website, but, I was intrested in what good natured people had to say about "punk rock." That's laughable. Taking Back Sunday is far from punk, or as otherwise labled "emo/punk". I laughed really hard at "Parents need to know that Taking Back Sunday's lyrics allude to emotionally heavy subject matter, but so obtusely that they are wide open to interpretation, and will go over many heads." Adam Lazzara [singer and songerwriter] is actually pretty vague on this album compared to the last two. One reveiw made it seem like people who listen to this sort of music are ready to kill themselves or something. This whole website is laughable. Stop caring so much about what your children do. They'll always find a way around you.
TBS is my second favorite band, and this album is what hooked me. Only the occaisional "D**n", a few metaphors to sex "I just wanna brake you down so badly... Scissor shaped across the bed, you are red, violent red..." metaphors to violence, but nothing really obvious. 10+
i love listening to underoath! they scream most of the song and it isnt satanic which is good for my religion. i am a christian. they actually are a christian band but is so hardcore and the screaming is so non-understandinble you dont even notice the lyrics but it is clean. TAKING BACK SUNDAY on the other hand, dissapointed me. it does not have that much screaming according to the parts of songs that i have heard.
Taking Back Sunday is back, with their newest album Louder Now. Quite different from their previous album, Tell All Your Friends. Even know these musicians have grown up a bit, there is still some teen angst left in them for the kids. I personally, see nothing bad about this CD. As with most releases these days there are hints of sex, drinking, and the overall "rock and roll lifestyle" but it definately suitable for kids 10+. Atleast it's better than the new 50 cent single. =p
