I think the over all messages are positive, the language in the song is "adult" but my kid knows not to use words like F*ck so I'm not to worried about that, and I don't get why common sense says there are some issues with drugs, I think the drugs in this song showspositive messages. The sexual behvior isn't age a ppropriate but if you realy have that big a problem with that stuff buy the clean version.
Very Good song! I recommend buying the edited version though. There are about 5 f words in this song and a very sexual line (He's got the urge to pull his d*** from the dirt and f*** the whole universe. BUY THE EDITED VERSION AND HAS A GOOD MESSAGE!
I bought this for my son Jason. He isn't into rap, but he is a fan of Eminem now. I thought about this before I purchased it, but I know my son is mature enough to listen to this music.
Not really the usual Eminem track. Instead of getting a kick out of watching parents rage, this one seems like he's really a role model. It's got a good message. Keep in mind that it's still Eminem, so there's quite a bit of cuss words. But, if you're uncomfortable with that sort of thing, get the clean version. As a fan, I recommend it.
this is a great song about quitting drugs and it may inspire kid's not to take them. i think this is well written and the only problem is language i think. this is good, but if you are younger than 13 you may not understand the concept of the song.
this song is all about emienm going to rehab to get clean by saying "It was my decision to get clean".
it shows how bad drugs are too and eminem is encouraging people too get clean too or just not do drugs
on the other hand the is some F-bombs and the wold Dic*k
Eminem really brings it in Not Afraid. His lyrics are uplifting and crisp. The chorus is a little cheesy but that doesn't take away from the positive message this song brings to listeners. It's a personal song written for anyone going through struggles and Eminem tells people that they can get through hard times. A great uplifting single!
I would like to know whether the reviewers actually listen to the song. I notice where it says "violence" the person who reviewed it talked about a shooting. There is no reference to shooting in that line. The line goes "You said you was king you lied through your teeth for that f--k your fillings, instead of getting crowned you're getting capped". Do you not notice the dentist reference there. The line that involves shooting goes "Relax I ain't going back to that now, all I'm trying to say is get back, klick klack plow". I mean if you're going to do a review, you should get your lines right. The entire song is a positive message. It's about him coming out of Rehab and wanting to be a better person. To say there is only a few parts of the song that are positive is ignorant. The swear words used in the song are used in a positive manner. I believe you lose the feeling and meaning when you censor a song. He's putting his feelings on there and pouring his heart out to his fans. Granted, there may have been other ways of doing it, he's keeping it real. This song is absolutely amazing and maybe parents could sit with their kids and talk about their experiences they had when they were younger. I would say the majority of adults have drank an adult beverage, have smoked some marijuana cigarettes and done other things because guess what? That stuff wasn't created by my generation.
