What’s the Story?

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato collaborate on this first release from the soundtrack of the Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program. ONE AND THE SAME is all about enjoying a close girlfriend-to-girlfriend relationship, despite differences in background, personalities, and styles, and is loosely based on the premise of the movie.

Is It Any Good?

Disney scores another successful musical soundtrack song with One and the Same. The song's message of tolerance and acceptance is a good one for tweens navigating new social territory. The driving pop-rock guitars, cute lyrics, and racing beats work well with the Gomez/Lovato sound. Their effervescent vocals and rockin' chorus should make even parents want to bob their heads along (at least for the first 50 listens).
