Parents need to know that this is the first single from the teen pop star's new album Permission to Fly scheduled for release in Limited Too stores in July, on iTunes in August, and then everywhere else in September. The track has upbeat lyrics that talk about being in love in a sweet way that's fine for kids.
"ONE LOVE" is an exuberant declaration of being in love, and knowing it's a sure thing. Pruitt's bouncy tune projects the feeling as if something's missing when that certain someone isntt there, how just thinking about him puts a spring in your step, how you love everything he does and says, and how something just feels "right."
It's hard not to like this song, even if perky pop isn't usually your thing. It's fun and cheerful with a summertime sound, and is bound to become the vacation romance anthem for teen girls everywhere.
Families can talk about the song's lyrics. What does it mean to be in love? How does Jordan Pruitt's music differ from other teen pop stars like Miley Cyrus and Aly and AJ? Is she a good role model?
