Okay, I'm sorry but Miley's music is so predictable and so not original. Her acting is okay and I can't judge her as a person because obviously I never met her. I'm not saying she isn't good at singing because believe me she is an excellent singer. I just wish she would sing songs more about life and not just party songs. Because a lot of times it just seems like she is promoting sex in her performances. I miss the younger Miley. She seemed more mature then, then she does now.
I love the song.It is very catchy! The problem is the music vid.The clothes and moves were kinda iffy. And Miley is not a s l u t.She just makes mistakes like everyone else.
Nothing innapropriate in the song, but my concern is the music video. No offense to below, but I really didn't see anything wrong with it. Sure, there's girls wearing short skirts and a bit of suggestive dancing, but that's pretty much all there is. Music video is fine for mature 10+, and the song is fine for 8+.
Miley Cyrus is becoming more and more innaproprite with every song and music video. She is wearing too short shorts and tight, small tops. Her music video is pointless and her song is not one of her best. She has broken out of being Hannah Montana, which was age-approprite, and is only 16!
Honestly, I really really really REALLY don't like Miley Cyrus, but out of all of her songs, this is one of the two that I sort of like. I think it has a good beat and it's fun. Although it is about partying the SONG doesn't include anything inappropriate. BUT, I think Miley Cyrus is the worst role model ever as seen on the music video of this song. (It includes pole dancing) Buy the song, DON'T let your kids watch the video.
First of all, people need to LEAVE MILEY ALONE. You don`t know her, you aren`t in her head, so stop pretending like you are. This song is really sweet and just tells about how Miley feels while she really starts to really make it big. What people really need to understand is, Miley Cyrus and her songs like this aren`t supposed to be aimed towards Hannah fans. That`s what Hannah songs are for, silly. Miley songs don`t necessarily have to be "Disney appropriate" like Hannah songs do, so take a chill pill. Great song. The only thing is that the stage performance might be a little inappropriate for kids under 10. And no, she was not "pole dancing"~ she was simply holding onto a poll. Give her a break.
if you are just planning to download the song from itunes for your kids make sure it's not Miley Cyrus's TCA performance video or her music video. Neither of which are kid appropriate because of Dance moves, back up Dancers. and clothing. The good thing about this song is message it is really fun and uplifting and about just being yourself and not being afraid to stand out in the crowd.
Down: I hate Miley Cyrus and this song. It is annoying, cheesy, pointless, and stupid. For a good parody of this song, go to Youtube and type in "Local Park". It is hilarious. Bad Role Model: Cyrus
It's a party song. It's about a girl, like Miley, going to the big city. She starts thinking about how different Hollywood is from Nashville and feels kind of homesick then she turns up the music, starts dancing, and just starts having a grand old time. I can't find anything particularly bad about this song nor can I find any good messages. It's clean. It's fun. It's catchy. Now I'm going to talk about the real problem.
Miley has had a few issues with growing up lately. She thinks she's doing it too fast when she's really going too slow. She's done some things that she thought were "artsy" and "natural" and I thought were distasteful. She says she wants to toss off the "security blanket" of Hannah Montana, a clean show, and start "working with life's real emotions." The "Party in the USA" music video was sad and inappropriate. "Okay," I thought, "Maybe she just made a mistake. She's a kid, she does that." Then I saw her on American Idol with that all-popular nail in her nose and I knew where she was headed. By the latest news I'm hearing, which I don't really feel like discussing, I was right. How can her parents stand by and let her act like this? She's 17!
Look, folks, let me explain something to you. If your kids watch Hannah Montana, they're going to love Miley Stewart. That's fine, so do I, though we'll see where it goes in the last season. (If Hannah hooks up with Jake, I'm going to have a few things to say.) When your kids learn that Miley Cyrus is an famous actor who only plays Miley Stewart, they're going to love Miley Cyrus. They're going to buy her CDs. They're going to learn everything about "the bestest singer lady in the world." They won't know she's doing bad things, they just know they want to be just like Miley when they grow up! I like Hannah Montana but this girl has lost my respect.
Well. . .how do I put this. Okay, Miley, put some dang clothes on! I mean her shorts looked more like underwear in jean version! The song 'can' be okay, but it gets really old really fast.
Your kids can have the song, but do-NOT let them see the video. She's dancing like a sl*t. She's hardly a good role-model.
But I have to say she could do worse. Her father is letting her get away with WAY to much ( not to be nagging at you BillyRay. . sir but it needs to be told ) I mean he let her old boyfriend that was an UNDERWEAR model move in with them, she wears skimpy clothes, and so on! Not to meantion he has more than 1 kid! There's his boy, Brison I think, and Nouh. They are going to be emotionly scard if he keeps putting Miley first.
I like the song, it's catchy, ( yes it DOES get annoying ) but I think she could have at least put on jeans that didn't look like underwear. that's what REALLY caught me. . . I can excuse everything else. But she needs to wear clothes that cover her body a little more. Other wise. . good song.
she is 18 and old enough to make her own choices! she HAS appropriate songs, that's what the Hannah songs are for! But the miley songs are the only chance she gets to actually do whatever she wants with music. So if you don't want your kids hearing it or seeing it, then just don't let them. God, it's as simple as that.
This song by Miley Cyrus is inappropriate. The line about walking into a club....? She's sixteen years old! Also, the noddin' my head like yeah, movin' my hips like yeah, suggests that she was dancing inappropriately. The music video shows awful role models, and of course Miley Cyrus is growing up and I understand that, but I would appreciate her growing up after she turns 21 and taking her show off Disney. Why would a star like Miley do what she did in "Party in the USA" and then go on Disney Channel and be "sensation" Hannah Montana? Is that somebody that you would like your child ADMIRING? Also remember that she is sixteen, and watch the video!
