What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this song about loving dance and music is from Camp Rock, the upcoming Disney movie targeted at tweens. In the spirit of High School Musical, the song is catchy, positive, and fine for kids of all ages.

  • "Wanna dance until my feet can't feel the ground (feel the ground)/Say goodbye to all my fears/One good song may disappear/And nothing in the world can bring me down (bring me down)" is the theme.

What's the story?

From the soundtrack to the new Disney musical Camp Rock (airing June 2008), "PLAY MY MUSIC" is a fast-paced tribute to how much kids love to dance, sing, and play music. The movie's stars, the Jonas Brothers, lend their vocal chops.

Is it any good?

Although the JoBros aren't the best vocally, they do have a level of enthusiasm that's hard to ignore. "Play My Music" is a fun ode to just wanting to yes, play music, but also embraces all things musical, including singing and dancing. It's a wholesome tune that sends tweens a positive message about expression and letting go.

MY FAVORITE SONG EVER!!!
When I saw the Jonas Brothers perform this live, I was screaming my head off! Amazing song. Very talented, down to earth boys. There's nothing about them I don't like.
