What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this album is jam-packed with 25 songs from popular Playhouse Disney shows. The popular "Can You Teach My Alligator Manners?" theme is here, as well as songs from favorites like Handy Manny and Happy Monster Band. It's nothing new for fans, just more of what they already get through the TV shows.

  • "I'm a Friend, You're a Friend" talks about the importance of being a good pal.
  • "One Step at a Time" teaches kids all about patience and perseverance. "Try Again" also teaches kids to never give up, and always try again.

What's the story?

If your preschoolers just can't get enough of Playhouse Disney, now there's LET'S DANCE! It's a fun, spirited compilation of dance beats from the Disney Channel's preschool-aged shows, including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Imagination Movers, Special Agent Oso, Jungle Junction, and Dance-A-Lot Robot.

Is it any good?

If you're okay with giving your kids an extra dose of the Disney shows they love, you really can't go wrong with Let's Dance. It's great for singing along to in the car or for getting your little ones off the couch and on their feet. The Dance-A-Lot Robot tunes and Happy Monster Band bashes are cheerful standouts, and there's even a lesson or two throughout the CD about being a good friend and never giving up.

What families can talk about

  • Families can talk about the songs' themes. The song "I'm a Friend, You're a Friend" talks about how to be a good friend. What does it mean to be a good friend? What kinds of things do you do to make your friends or family feel loved and happy?

  • "One Step at a Time" is a song that shows how patience and perseverance pay off. Have you ever felt frustrated or impatient about something? How do you deal with those feelings? How do you feel when you keep trying and finally succeed?
