This music is fine. You can't understand half of it anyway. Most kids who do know what a pole or club is hear way worse at school and those who don't won't know what it means! It's good for all ages. It's not my style of music so I don't really enjoy listening to it but my kids sure love it.
If Right Round were a TV show, it would probably be rated TV-PG D. There's sexual innuendo and double entendres throughout this song making it inappropriate for young children and iffy for teens. But, despite all that, the song has a fun beat to it and it has the potential to be stuck in your head all day long. This song may not be appropriate for middle school dances, but don't be surprised if it gets played at some high school dances. (I think it's amazing how 80s-style music has been revived for the past 3 years starting with Rihanna's SOS. Who knows when this will music trend will end?)
My 13 y/o wants this on her ipod, so I checked here & youtube. I can see why kids like the beat, as they dance around as happy-go-lucky young teens. However, if they understood the words or the singer's point, I'd be so ashamed. No, I don't condone this for her ipod. Based on principle. Sure she'll hear it elsewhere, but I'm holding firm & not allowing that sort of trash talk.
