Paramore isn't the best for little kids.
Paramore isn't the sort of thing very young kids should listen to. One. They will not understand any of what the singer says, There is not much here that isn't for the mature audience and using adult terminology. I'm not saying the lyrics are dirty or anything. its just hard to understand for kids younger than about 11 or 12.

Paramore's sophomore attempt at pop-punk packs a whole lotta punch. The album starts off with a bang and then the second song comes in with with a catchy chorus for the love-lorn. Hallelujah and When It Rains are lyrically, very low key. Let The Flames Begins picks up speed as does Miracle. Crushcrushcrush erupts with the spastic energy the band has been bubbling beneath the surface. The ballad (We Are Broken) is a pretty little piece. Fences has a western stick-up stomp to it. And Born For This ends the album kinda disappointingly. (In my opinion.) Overall the band has potential and they play one hell of an album. Great listen for parents and kids alike.

A Good Band No Matter What Age
While the music sounds 'hardcore' and yes, the singer does, in fact, have hot pink hair, the lyrics and music aren't angry at all. The worst lyrics I could find is a quick mention of the word 'whore' in their song "Misery Business" and one of the chorus lines of their song "Fences" that says 'it's obvious that you're dying, dying'. And while, in text, that chorus line sounds dark, in the context of the rest of the song it really isn't. Most of the lyrics talk about overcoming problems, friendship, and dealing with life. Everything from dealing with love loss to dealing with pressure of everyday life. Paramore is a great band with lyrics for everyone to enjoy and may actually be a bridge between you and your kids given the band's semi rock-n-roll style while still being something that the average 15/16 year old would enjoy.
